Is Lowe's Open on Christmas 2026?
Lowe's goes dark on Christmas Day, same as Thanksgiving. Here's the verified 2026 answer.
Summary
Lowe's is closed on Christmas Day 2026 (Friday, December 25) — that's the long-standing pattern, though the official 2026 schedule isn't out yet. On Christmas Eve (Thursday, December 24), stores are typically open 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM; a Lowe's rep confirmed the 6:00 PM close for 2025. Regular hours resume Saturday, December 26.
The single most important point
Lowe's is fully shut down on Christmas Day, and Christmas Eve ends at 6:00 PM sharp — one hour later than rival Home Depot, but still early, so plan for the morning of December 24.

What are Lowe's’s Christmas hours?
Lowe's hasn't published an official 2026 Christmas announcement yet, but the pattern is well established: closed on Christmas Day, with 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM hours on Christmas Eve. A Lowe's rep confirmed the 6:00 PM Christmas Eve close for 2025, and nothing suggests a change.
One thing to know: Lowe's regular hours aren't perfectly uniform — most stores run 6:00 AM – 10:00 PM Monday through Saturday, but some locations close at 9:00 PM, and Sunday hours vary (commonly 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM). That variation matters on the holiday weekend more than on Christmas Day itself, when everything is closed.
